Halloween is creeping up on us! October is filled with talk
of ghosts and other incredibly terrifying creatures and places. If you were to ask a child
his or her idea of a scary place, they would jump to tell you haunted houses,
cemeteries or hospitals. Unfortunately, in many communities, parks and
playgrounds are the scariest places. Many playgrounds lack adequate safety
surfacing and have unkept equipment that could pose a serious threat to children. Other playgrounds are just abandoned and cannot be used at all.How can you define a SCARY playground?
